System Requirements
Monitoring Server (where PulseOps is installed)
- Windows 10, Windows 11, Windows Server 2012 R2 or later
- .NET Framework 4.8 (included with Windows 10 1903+ and Server 2019+; installer will prompt if missing)
- SQL Server 2012 or later — any edition including the free SQL Server Express
- ~50 MB disk space for the application
- Network access to the servers you want to monitor (WMI port 135 + dynamic RPC)
Servers being monitored
- Windows Server 2008 R2 or later (WMI monitoring)
- WMI service running and accessible from the monitoring server
- Windows Firewall: allow WMI through — or the monitoring server is in the same domain
- For SQL Server monitoring: SQL Server 2008 R2 or later, sysadmin or VIEW SERVER STATE permission
Recommended spec for monitoring server
- 2 CPU cores, 4 GB RAM — adequate for up to 50 servers
- Can run on the same machine as SQL Server Express
- Can run as a Windows Service (no login required)
💡 SQL Server Express is free and sufficient for most PulseOps installations.

Quick Installation
- Download and run
PulseOps_Setup_1.0.0.exe— accept the UAC prompt - Follow the installer (takes about 2 minutes)
- Launch PulseOps Monitor from the desktop shortcut
- The Setup Wizard opens automatically — connect to your SQL Server, configure email alerts, add your first server
- Within 60 seconds you'll see live CPU, memory and disk readings

Already purchased? Activate your licence
If you've already bought a licence, your key was emailed to you at the time of purchase. To activate, open PulseOps Monitor, go to Help → Licence Manager, paste your key and click Activate.
